What a hidden gem. The food is absolutely delicious (amazing chicken wow!) and the atmosphere is fantastic. I also had the chance to practice my Spanish with the waitress. She was amazing ! This place is a must.. Muy bueno 🙂

We had such a wonderful experience at El Meson! I made a reservation for my birthday celebration, and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. They prepared a beautifully decorated table in one of the best spots in the restaurant, paying so much attention to every detail. It felt incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. I’ve heard a lot about this Dominican drink, ‘Morir soñando’… I tried it for the first time here at El Meson Dominicano. It really is all they say and more… besides de food, the service is very welcoming. I will definitely come back for my “Picalonga” I can’t stop thinking about it.

The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, and I truly appreciated the convenient parking 🚗, making it an easy spot to access.

🍽️ The food? Absolutely delicious! 🍛 The flavors were so close to authentic Dominican cuisine, bringing a nostalgic taste of the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 right here to Gatineau. The mofongo with chicharrón 🥓 was flavorful and perfectly cooked, paired with a delicious garlic sauce 🧄 that took the dish to the next level. I also tried the tostones rellenos with shrimp 🍤, which were fresh, well-seasoned, and a perfect appetizer.

Everything was beautifully presented 🎨, and each bite was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor 🤤. The chefs clearly put a lot of love and tradition into their cooking, making this a must-visit spot for anyone craving authentic Dominican food.

If you’re looking for a true taste of the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 in the Ottawa-Gatineau area, this is the place to go! 🏡🌴 I will definitely be coming back to explore more of their menu. Highly recommended! 💯👏
