Dinty’s Restaurant

We have been going to this restaurant for quite a while now. This is the second disappointing visit and for very similar reason. We have noticed that the food is sub standard on quiet afternoons or during breakfast service. It is as if they only shine at certain times. I always order the same thing so I know what my meal should look like. Today, a repeat of my last bad experience the same issue came up. The roasted Greek potatoes were from yesterday or the day before, dry, and tasteless. The chicken was also dry and hard to chew. Today as an extra I had a fruit fly in my salad. I understand that they are pesky little creatures and the bane of restaurant owners, and I am tolerant of them usually because they are not easy to get rid of, but it added insult to injury. I flagged the potatoes to the server who kindly offer to replace them with fries. Unfortunately the fries were so salty I could not eat them. I would go back to this restaurant but will target a time when I know the food will be fresh from that day. On a positive note, the server was lovely and competent.

I went here for a birthday brunch with my family and thoroughly enjoyed it! From the start, the staff is very hospitable and welcoming. The decor is modern, but still feels warm and cozy. The clientèle all around was mix of young and old, families and friend groups, just lovely gatherings all around. We took the standard breakfast fare and everything was delicious and fresh, and had its own flavour. The waffles in particular were just so tasty ..almost like eating cake on the inside while it’s crunchy on the outside. Our waitress came around to check on us several times. We’ve lived in the area for quite some time but never came for breakfast here, but we will be back again for sure! Can’t wait!

We shared a really delicious Greek Pizza and Caesar Salad this week. A couple of beers to accompany our meal on the outdoor terrace and we were set. No complaints. Highly recommend this well-establish long standing restaurant in Aylmer.

I have become a regular at Dintys. The service is fast and friendly with great atmosphere. The food is always great, usually I’m there for breakfast.

A classic breakfast spot (never been for dinner) what you see is what you get. The place is very clean, the staff is friendly and kind, and the prices are fair. Everything we had was really good and quick. Great option for a no-fuss, satisfying breakfast 🥰
