Continental Delicatessen

Love it here. Staff is friendly and sandwiches are delicious. I come here for a Friday lunch treat every now and then and am never disappointed. Great value, I think is $12. You just pick which sandwich you wan and they make it. No fuss, just quality ingredients out together with love. Thank you.

This is my favourite lunch spot. Not only are the sandwiches delicious, they have a wide selection of European snacks and goods. Everyone’s super friendly and while I’ve seen many other places in the market have soaring prices for their lunch offerings, the prices here are very good for a fantastic meal.

Nice Polish/European market and freshly made deli sandwiches with very flavourful ingredients!

This is a fantastic little deli. The staff were incredibly helpful. They’re selection of European groceries is impressive and they made the four of us the best sandwiches. Our kids are still talking about them. If you’re visiting the Byward Market this deli deserves a visit.

Not sure his name, but the person who made our sandwiches did an amazing job of balancing the quantity and order of the sandwich ingredients!! We especially appreciate the way he added a second thin layer of salami to add contrast to the veggie layer in the salami sandwich. We also really appreciated how much he followed up with us on what sauces we wanted to omit.
Overall it was our first visit and we absolutely would come back. There was an awesome selection of central European groceries and deli products, and you can tell by the interactions between the owner (she also was so kind in making sure we were comfortable to eat there!) and the customers that there’s a huge amount of loyalty and community there. And I can see why! 🙂
