Bistro la Gargouille

A slightly late review, but I just have to share my experience at La Gargouille! I’ve visited twice—once for dinner and once for lunch—and both visits were fantastic. During my first visit, I tried the beef tartare, which was excellent, and on my second visit, I had the fish & chips, which I have to say, I enjoyed even more. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, full of flavor, and beautifully presented.

The service was wonderful on both occasions. Our waitress was exceptionally friendly, offered helpful recommendations, and made us feel completely comfortable and welcomed. It’s always a pleasure when the staff genuinely enhance the dining experience. La Gargouille has definitely earned a spot on my list of go-to restaurants, and I’m looking forward to my next visit!

I’ve been to La Gargouille twice, once for dinner and once for lunch. I tried the beef tartare the first time and the fish & chips the second time. Both were really good, but I have to say I liked the fish & chips a bit more. The waitress was super nice, gave us good advice, and made us feel comfortable.

Love this place! The service is usually pretty decent but can be slow. The food is good. What wins this place a 5 star for me is the atmosphere and the live bands they bring in. Such a fun place to go for delicious cocktails and great music. It can be very loud though which is just something to keep in mind 🙂

It’s a place for booze and entertainment. If you’re looking for a live band and a drink, this is the spot to be. The atmosphere is great, and the service is lovely. The staff are bilingual. While the menu leans more towards aperitifs and isn’t particularly special, the focus here is on the vibrant ambiance and live music. The sweets are delicious.

Right off the top, I just want to say how impressed I was. Came in with my fiancé for some cocktails and a quick bite. Our waitress Valerie was amazing, I asked for her recommendations on which cocktails we should try, and she took care of us well. The nachos are amazing. The deep-fried pickles are probably my favourite. A bit on the higher said pricewise, but it’s justified by the quality of the service and big portions. You pay for a higher experience here. If you want cheap, then go across the street. Thank you for the great time. 10/10 definitely coming back In a few days. We may make this our spot!
