BeaverTails- Queues de Castor (Byward Market)

There is not much to say that hasn’t been said about BeaverTails. This shack is one of the original spots when the business founded in Ottawa. We had a cinnamon lemon flavor, Killaloe Sunrise, which I was not expecting to like. The contrast of the freshly squeezed lemon on top of the sweet cinnamon dusting was wonderful. A great, warm treat to survive the cold outside.

The beavertails did not disappoint at the ByWard Market Square. They make them fresh, so mine was warm and delicious. If you are from the USA, it’s much like an elephant ear, only shaped like…you guessed it, a beaver tail! Yum! Go get one. I just had the plain cinnamon and sugar, and it was plenty sugary and good.

The Pistach one was great！Fresh made and full of toppings. The staffs were nice and helped cut it into half after seeing we were two. Would recommend!

Tried BeaverTails for the first time in Ottawa and absolutely loved it. The pastry was warm, crispy, and soft inside, and the toppings made it even better. Definitely a must-try Canadian snack when you’re here.

A classic must-visit when in Ottawa to get a hot, freshly-made BeaverTail to cap off the visit. Such a treat to have a sweet keepsake in great memories.

Tried BEAVERTAILS for the first time, it was really delicious if you have a sweet tooth! I liked the apple pie more than the tripe trip but everything was pretty good!

I was very pleased with the quality of my order. 👍😋👏 The pistachio beavertails exceeded my expectations; I wasn’t expecting such generous portions of whole pistachio spears and even pistachio crumbs. 🤤😋💯 I appreciated the abundance of pistachio spread and crushed pistachios. 😍😋😋 While the shop is just a street booth, so I can’t comment on the atmosphere, I must mention that the smell of sewage nearby was unfortunately unpleasant. 🤢🤮😥
