Food is delicious. Got recommended this place by a friend and wasn’t disappointed. Spice levels are good here without being overbearing. Some other spots just put too much chili oil and sichuan pepper corns to add “flavor”, but none of that here. Prob the best spot in town for this type of food. Parking isn’t great though which is the only downside

Great authentic Northeastern Chinese flavors. The braised eggplant was amazing, but the traditional Sweet & Sour Pork took over 40 minutes to arrive. Worth visiting if you enjoy bold flavors, just be ready for a bit of waiting.

Authentic Szechuan & Dongbei Flavours in Ottawa

Spicyman is a fantastic find for anyone craving truly authentic Szechuan and Dongbei cuisine in Ottawa. Every dish we ordered was delicious and full of rich, layered flavours—exactly the kind of taste you’d hope for from a proper regional Chinese kitchen. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes.

Service was efficient and the food came out quickly. While the staff could be a bit more welcoming, everything ran smoothly, and the experience overall was excellent. If you’re looking for real northern and Szechuan-style cooking, this place is absolutely worth a visit!

This is the best authentic Chinese food in town and my favorite spot. They offer a wide range of Northern Chinese and Sichuan-style dishes (lots of spicy options), and every dish I’ve tried has been delicious and truly authentic. Most of the customers are Chinese, which says a lot about how genuine the food is. My favorite dish is Guobaorou, and I really hope they continue maintaining their great quality. This store deserve more than 4.5 star ratings.

Tried the new Spicy Man restaurant today. I ordered three dishes—portions were super generous, the food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. The space is open and comfortable, with big tables, which I really liked. Service was fast, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The only small issue was the entrance door on the ground floor—it was hard to open and got stuck both coming in and going out. Hopefully they can fix that soon. Other than that, everything was great. I’ll definitely be going back!
