Bistro Mexicana 129

Tonight was my first time there. Once I got up the stairs (puff puff 😁) I joined the group I was meeting. There was cold water waiting. In no time at all, we were given food menus followed by the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. I didn’t understand a couple of the food descriptions and our Server, Felix, was quick to explain without me feeling like a dope. I ordered a plate (started with a “B”) because it included three differently tasting items. And, a bottle of white wine. The whole group was pleased with the timely delivery of their meals. Mine was delicious – one hot spicy, one less spicy and one full of flavours. Plus, rice, purple cabbage (!) and beans. Everyone liked their menu choices. The portions were large. We ate, not feeling rushed at all. Felix asked if we’d like to take home what was left on our plates…”yes please” and brought take home boxes. I said “I guess the rest of the wine stays here LOL”. Well, Felix just said “no – I can take care of that for you” and he did ! I came home with second dinner – food & wine ! Kudos to Felix and Casa Mexicana for hiring him. I look forward to eating there again !

Phenomenal.. had a chimichanga pulled pork!! To die for! This is a must have!

Great food, service and decor. The patio is awesome and grateful for the efficient service, even on a busy Saturday night!
I enjoyed enchiladas and a strawberry daiquiri.

What an amazing experience. We were served by Alex E. and he made it such a great first visit. It was like all our needs for our visit were taken care of before we knew what we needed. I highly recommend this restaurant for everything. You have to give great service for me to MAX tip.

We visited this restaurant in Sept 2024 and it is not what it used to be. It’s sad to see how downhill their food and service went ( very rude and unprofessional service from the manager Natalie) and we used to come here regularly over last few years.
Kids meal has burn nachos (see photo) with ketchup for fired but without salsa, taco bowl had cold shreddd chicken which tastes snd looks terrible , and the chips comes with no salsa. You have to order salsa on side with nachos and they bring you small paper cup with salsa. In restaurant a paper cup, just not whats expected.
According to manager on duty- Natalie with the horrible service it is ok to have a chicken dumped all around the plate instead Of the salad bowl, see photo.
Food is unfortunately tasteless and way overpriced.Also it’s not clean just like said in previous post, salt and pepper shakers in beer bottles are dirty and it’s is this restaurant. Also cutleries and drinks were brought to us after the meal was served – about 5mins.
People can judge by photos but safe your money and try a restaurant which appreciates your business.
