We had our wedding here in July. Not only was the food delicious, the planning and execution from Jillian was amazing. She made sure everything was to our liking and helped us create a flow for our entire day. We had an amazing time and would recommend it to anyone!!!

I’ve been meaning to write this review for quite some time, but haven’t had the chance to gather some old photos.

I’ve been going to NeXT Restaurant since 2014 after a co-worker mentioned that I had to try Chef Blackie’s creations. It’s been over 10 years and I haven’t been disappointed by anything on the menu. My favourite thing I love getting each time is the Tempura Cheese Curds with Sriracha Maple lick. Sooo good!

When my partner and I got engaged in 2018 and were supposed to get married at NeXT in 2020, well, everyone knows what happened there. Gillian Blackie who facilitates events and weddings at NeXT was so very kind accommodating us. We didn’t get married until 2023 and we were so pleased with the event (all Covid Restrictions completely gone and people comfortable socializing again en masse). Our wedding was small, but cozy, and Gillian was so thoughtful of trying to accommodate a family member with a disability. She did a great job of coordinating our external vendors (DJ, Officiant, and Photo/Videographers), and their serving staff was friendly and helpful. Secret Wedding Tip – There is a beautiful wooden arch bridge just 5 minutes away from the venue for photos.

Over the years, my wife and I would go to NeXT for special occasions or to showcase to our friends how good the food is here. I remember during one of the holiday seasons, I would be passing through to get take out and Chef Blackie took the time to show me the operations behind the “Turkey Take Home Dinner” specials. What a well oiled machine and so cool to see how coordinated everything goes.

My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary here over the Christmas season and it always feels like home. I can not recommend enough NeXT Restaurant for your special occasion or a nice dinner out. It’s literally Ottawa’s best restaurant.

Kudos to Chef Blackie, Gillian, and all the wonderful staff!

Our exhālō Spa teams gathered to celebrate the start of the holiday season at NEXT last weekend. We enjoyed a delicious 4 course meal, private room, and the coziest holiday atmosphere locally, making the evening feel even more special. Thank you all!

We had our wedding at Next. It was an absolutely amazing experience. Our guests loved the decor and food, and Jillian was extremely helpful throughout the planning process and coordination on the wedding day. The prices were also reasonable. We would highly recommend it as a wedding venue.

Been meaning to come here for years and finally pulled the trigger on it. Service was amazing and the ambience/aesthetics of the restaurant were classy and cozy. Food was great! It was super tasty and portions were filling. We got the pork bao bun, beef tartare, Dan Dan udon noodles, chicken schnitzel gnocchi, and Blackies crispy chicken with 2 cocktails.

Although the bao bun and Dan Dan noodles were not super authentic, it was still tasty!
