Broadhead Brewing Company

Where to start here? I guess with the most obvious topic – the beer. It’s consistent, creative, and most importantly delicious. Whether it’s at the brewery or a festival, the offerings from Broadhead are top notch.

The brewery itself is a gem. There is almost always something fun happening. Bingo and trivia are a regular event, and there are even concerts throughout the week which is cool. What makes it even cooler is that it’s all free. If you get a chance to check out the wrestling events you should absolutely do that too. Such a great time!

Next up is the staff. Everyone there is a beauty. Always friendly, engaging, and willing to recommend something if I can’t decide (which isn’t often. NEIPA for the win).

Even their marketing. Their FB and IG posts are fun and they are reflective of the atmosphere when you visit.

I have been to a bunch of different breweries in Ottawa, but Broadhead is the one I have been to the most and I don’t see that changing any time soon.

We came to Ottawa earlier this month and when we asked friends where should we go for breweries they recommended Broadhead. I looked at their Instagram account as I had never heard of them before and was not convinced as the beer is barely mentioned – seems to be all about taproom staff (Broadhead babes?!? whatever that is…) and a bbq company. As it came highly recommended we decided to try it.
Let me tell you what a surprise it was! The beer is absolutely amazing with SO many options – who would have known looking at their socials!

Took a flight and food from Meatings which was also very good.
Rating this 3 stars as the server seemed more busy to talk on the phone outside the taproom instead of taking care of her customers.
Whoever is in charge of promoting this brewery is NOT doing a great job as the beer is phenomenal and it should be up front and central instead of all these other posts that no one probably cares about.

Well, we definitely had another great experience visiting Broadhead. It is possibly close to ten years since our last visit. We live six hours away.
It is so unfortunate, that they are not in our backyard.
The location now, with the larger taproom was very impressive, offering lots of area for sitting and enjoying the tasty beers.
Pairing those tasty beers with the amazing food prepared by Meetings Catering ( official caterers of the Ottawa Senators). Texas BBQ made with Canadian flair. Outstanding.
Keep up the good work folks. I don’t think we will wait so long to make another trip this way. 🤪👍

Meeting’s BBQ served here is, hands down, some of the best BBQ in Ottawa. The ribs are perfectly fall-off-the-bone tender, and the brisket is incredibly savory. The sauces that accompany the dishes are fantastic and really complement the smoky flavors of the meat.

What I loved even more were the side options—it’s refreshing to see a place that doesn’t just serve fries! The coleslaw was crisp and flavorful, the cornbread was perfectly sweet and moist, and the tater tots were delightfully crispy and golden.

I’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend giving this place a try if you’re a fan of authentic, mouthwatering BBQ.

Meetings BBQ is being served here and hands down best BBQ in Ottawa. Fall of the bone ribs, brisket is savory and the sauces that are paid with it are great. The side options are wonderful, it’s refreshing to hear a place that does not do fries as a side. The coleslaw was nice the cornbread is so tasty and the tater tots are very totty.
Will be back and reccommned for you to try.
