If you want good barbeque in Ottawa, Fatboys is easily the best around. The owner Shawn is such an excellent host and his service team are always very polite and super attentive. I highly recommend a stop into Fatboys. The Kentucky Derby platter with tastes of just about everything they offer is PERFECT to share for 2 people. Thanks for a great night out with the family! The food was amazing! We got the Kentucky Derby Platter. It rocked.
It included
Ribs
Pulled pork
Chopped chicken
Boneless fried chicken and
Beef brisket

For sides we got the Mac and cheese and the maple whipped sweet mashed with pecans. It also came with two pieces of Kansas cornbread. The owner recommended adding the hillbilly heat bbq sauce in the Mac and cheese and it was truly great.

The owner and staff were amazing and the owner even gave me a small jar of their own rub!! Can’t wait to try it. They really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

The bathrooms. You need to check them out!! Even if you don’t need to pee.

The atmosphere here is truly great and worth going. Shall be going back there for sure!

The Owner Shawn was absolutely amazing. He literally gave us a private tour of his restaurant.

They have a price room for party or sports events which can host up to 60 people; but 40 people if you want to have buffet.

The restaurant vibe is amazing.

I tried their beef briskets that come with one side dish and corn bread. The beef brisket was perfect, fatty and juicy; so tender that you don’t need to use knives. The pickle potatoes salad was average.

If you are meeting lover you can come a visit; and don’t forget to look for Shawn; he will share some amazing experience in life that will definitely amaze you.

Fantastic place!! Well worth checking out. We arrived Saturday evening and we’re seated right away. The place has a great vibe and extremely friendly staff. The food was amazing, cooked perfectly and came out quickly. We really enjoyed our time here.

Came on a Wednesday night with my husband. Great service. We ordered the platter for two. Super delicious. Some of the meats were a bit cold, but understandable since we came late in the night just before closing. It was a lot and still delicious. We would definitely come back though.

We had a great time at Fatboys Southern Smokehouse! From the moment we stepped in, we loved the vibe and the atmosphere — it had such a great, welcoming energy. The food was good; everything we tried was enjoyable, and the house sauce was an absolute 10/10
But what truly made our experience stand out was the staff. From the second we were greeted, we felt genuinely cared for and welcomed. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel at home throughout the entire meal. It’s rare to encounter such great service, and we really appreciated it.
