I know fr this is a secret to keep for myself but I thought on my life I saw someone order a cup of olives. I was like bet ok I’m ordering olives. Clearly my eyes deceive me because they were shocked and enthusiastic. With no sense for how to input this into the system they charged me $0 and Erin made me THIS. Also Jake went to the kitchen to get me fresh kitchen mayo for my fries.

Erin and Jake deserve a raise (they literally had nothing to do with this review on my LIFE I mean every word)

So great place but tonite January 29 930 pm my sister order fish and chip it is like heavily saturated im grease I know fish is deep fry the manager had to keep telling the cooks that it been to long you have a great manager or front staff the guys in back are problem the fish batter is like soaked this is not hot in picture it just from being soaked very disappointing today maybe it time to find help from guys who respect the work this was horrible look picture its bad … they dont care and they proved it find cooks who have passion this is unacceptable for your place i have had good times here n good good but today your cook made horrible choice to play around instead of make good food

A must visit when you’re in downtown Ottawa! Located in the lovely Byward Market. Upon choosing a place to go for a nice weekend lunch, I started reading the reviews on this Pub and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try it and we are glad we did! The top food choices we kept reading about was the Fish & Chips and the Jumbalaya! They were a complete hit and tasted amazing! Best Jumbalaya we’ve had by far!! Spice level was great, everything was cooked to perfection! You basically didn’t need a nice to cut the fish it was that fresh and well cooked! Service was great and the ambiance inside makes you feel like you’re in a pub in Ireland! Great spot to enjoy with family/friends! Thank you again! 🙂

I ate here today and realized a few bites in that the fried chicken sandwich was not cooked. It was literally pink. I spoke to the server about it and she brushed it off telling me that they check the temperature of the chicken, and not to worry. I could not eat it anymore. She seemed in a rush to take my plate so I made sure to take a quick picture. Pictures. Do. Not. Lie.

Although I could not safely eat my meal, I was still charged full price for it. Mind blowing!

I am nervous now and feel sick thinking about it. If I end up in the hospital management will hear about it. Terrible service and terrible food experience. I will be telling my passengers to avoid this place at all costs.

I have never had a bad experience at this pub. I am in Ottawa a lot of travels and this is always my go to. Fish and chips are the best, and the best thing they do it the proper Irish/English way, not a plate full of chips, which is the way its suppose to be. The fish was moist and flakey. Batter was crispy as well. Also has Kilkenny on draft. Ive had other items of food there from their bangers and mash to their burgers. Again never disappointed. Always recommended and will always be coming back

Friendly and welcoming service, the staff there were very kind with us when they seated a table. ❤️❤️❤️

The waiting time took a lot of time to get our drinks and food. They serves us the drinks first and took our food order half hour later.

However, when we received our meals, we got a very delicious food ❤️❤️❤️❤️ The salad cesear, the lamb, the fish and chips and the jambalaya so good!! Love the restaurant-bar place, great food and nice customer service ! Just wish that didn’t took almost a hour upon receiving our food 🙏

Good was incredible and has really interesting drinks! Got the mango marg and the harvest fizz, both super fun. Food was so good, got the apricot salad and the maple fries and omg they were delicious. The upstairs patio is also delightful with great service. Definitely a great place to stop in.

Awesome service, staff super friendly. The Pulled Chicken Tacos were fantastic! The cilantro lime and apple slaw tangy and delicious. Fish & chips also excellent. Great atmosphere, the 2nd floor outdoor space overlooks the market, great for an evening of cocktails and people watching.
