One word: WOW!!! We were greeted by the warm and inviting presence of our incredibly attentive server, Shaw. She was beyond stellar, going above and beyond to create a fantastic and personal guest experience. My partner and I dined here for the Valentine’s day special, visiting this spot for the first time – and were SO impressed with the food, drink selection, service, speed of service (!!), and atmosphere. In my opinion, this is the go-to spot for date night in Ottawa. I could not say more than .. total perfection!! We will be returning and requesting a table in Shaw’s section for SURE!!! Thank you to the kitchen team and service staff for an exceptional evening. I have not been this wowed by the Ottawa food scene in a long time. Absolutely visit this spot if you are looking for a welcoming but upscale dining experience. It simply cannot be beat.

Nice, intimate spot for a date. Service was efficient friendly, and flavors were on point for the most part. The highlight of our meal was definitely the risotto!

We celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Citizen. Service really set the mood. Our server was very welcoming, answered all our questions and was very attentive throughout our dinner. The vibe was laid back and the flavours were wonderful. We particularly enjoyed the ratatouille and the summer berries.

It was a very lovely dinner experience. We’ll surely be back again soon.

Hands down our favourite restaurant in Ottawa. We’ve eaten at 3 Michelin star places, etc, and I’d rather come here every time.

To describe it – just delicious well balanced food. Consistent, never disappoints. The menu changes often and there is usually a mix of various cuisines represented. Prices are always fair. Their rotation of 4 cocktails is consistently delicious, balanced. Great wine menu.

The customer service is always fantastic. Highly recommend checking it out!

Only potential feedback is chairs are a bit firm for large male to sit in for 2 hours. Super small detail but would make 5.5/5 stars

Recently dined at this restaurant for a family-style dinner, and it was a delightful experience.

The food was exceptional, and I had the pleasure of trying a variety of their unique dishes. Among all the options, the meatballs and the chocolate cake stood out as my personal favorites. The flavors were rich, and the presentation was impeccable.

However, it’s worth noting that the prices are on the higher side. Yet, I can confidently say that the quality of the food justifies the cost. It’s a place where you truly get what you pay for in terms of taste and quality.

The only minor downside was that the space is a bit cramped. Even though our group was big (15 people) the staff managed to accommodate us comfortably, and we enjoyed our meal without feeling crowded.
