Oh So Good

Not a pretty place to enjoy a cake. Got two cakes to go, one piece very tiny for $10. Staff dont use gloves, which is gross, especially when the guy serving me looked pretty scatchy and did not know much about the cakes he’s selling. I have no idea how this place stays in business for so long here. Was there at 5pm on Jan 18.

If you love cake and cheesecake plus AH- MAZING Cappuccinos, this IS your must visit place when downtown Ottawa and near the Byward Market! This carrot cake was off the charts decadent — not too sweet and yet perfectly balanced. I love the espresso flavour. Bold and rich. The gentleman behind the counter was so kind and thoughtful in offering his suggestions for our preferred palates in desserts. A must visit, if cake is your jam. Four layers, YES Please! Honestly, Oh So Good Coffee is really good. The coffee tastes great, smooth and well made, and the place has a nice, chill vibe. The staff are friendly and make you feel comfortable. It’s a perfect spot to relax, get some work done, or just enjoy a good cup of coffee. I’ll definitely be coming back.

We were nearby and we searched for something light on Google Maps and found where we could get a light breakfast smoothie bowl options. Clicked on the site from Maps, ordered and paid. Upon reaching we find the that site linked on Google Maps was fake. They had no order from us. The menu and prices were the same, but the site was a scam, at least that’s what the individual told us. Didn’t seem overly concerned that his listing had something nefarious.

We paid for our order (again) and went on our way.
Be careful of the site on Maps. Currently I cannot order on the site. The site name remains the same.

The order did take a long time. The two bowls were OK. Ample fruit smoothie and fresh toppings. The negative ordering experience has reduced the review rating considerably.

The about us section even as I write this review has two addresses the correct and the fake (25 York).

Good vegan icecream. 3 vegan flavours: mango and lemon both very good and tastes almost creamy with great fruit flavours. I didn’t try vegan mint.

They have one vegan baked good: carrot cake. I didn’t try that.

They have a nice patio.
