Papaspicy where have you been all my life! The food was perfectly spicy and super flavourful, and was brought out quickly and hot. I also got some of the milk tea which helped to balance out the spicy pork. The portions are quite large so it’s best to go with multiple people and share dishes, or expect a lot of leftovers to bring home. Just a heads up that it is a QR code ordering restaurant so remember to bring your phone 👍

If you’re looking for authentic, mouth-numbing flavor, PapaSpicy is the spot. I’m already planning my next visit! Here’s the breakdown of what made this meal a standout:

The Highlights

• Spicy Boiled Fish: This was the star of the show. The fish was incredibly tender, and the broth had that perfect balance of heat and depth. If you love bold, Sichuan-style flavors, this is a must-order.

• Stir-fry Beef (Cumin & Pepper): This dish was packed with aromatics. The beef was perfectly cooked, and the cumin-pepper combo gave it that addictive, smoky kick that I couldn’t stop eating.

• Bubble Tea: Honestly, it’s the perfect “fire extinguisher” for the spicy food. It was awesome—refreshing, flavorful, and better than most dedicated boba shops.

The Verdict

We were looking for Chinese authentic food and this place suddenly popped up when we were in the area. Can’t express how happy we were that we found this place! It’s a must visit place! Truly Chinese (not westernized) food, welcoming atmosphere! Highly recommend!!!

We ordered the crystal cold noodles and the mapu tofu. It was really good and the cold noodles portion really surprised us. The service was also very fast and the food came out in a matter of minutes.

If you’re a garlic lover, this is a great spot. LOTS OF GARLIC 🧄!! The prices are also very reasonable.

The only thing is the tofu was a bit on the salty end however it was still a very good dish.

All the dishes we ordered were so tasty! The spicy boiled fish is super flavourful with the right amount of seasoning and spices, their egg fried rice (no soy sauce) is excellent; each grain is coated with flavour but not too heavy. The service staff was also amazing and prompt to help us clean up our tables.

Staff was somewhat helpful with allergies.

I ordered the Tilapia in black beans and fresh peppers aka tilapia bbq hotpot on digital menu. + spam and celtuce. It’s fried then placed in a hot pot. The skin is amazing and worth not ordering the boneless version. I believe dish does not contain egg or dairy products (please double check).

It was very tasty and still a bit spicy in a good way. We ordered Celtuce and spam but it came with onions and other vegetables. The fish was tender.

The Guo bao rou aka crispy pork is bland though. I don’t recommend.

Will return to try other dishes.
