My first time trying Ethiopian food, this place is fantastic! The plater was beautifully presented, everything was freshly made. The owner was so sweet and friendly. I like the African accent decor, colorful, rustic and exotic. Overall, great dining experience 👌

This was my first time trying ethiopian food. Fair to say I will be back! Genuinely one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The lamb dishes were amazing, spicy, flavorful, and very friendly service. Just slightly overpriced. We got the food in a shared plate, and it was a great bonding experience. 9.5/10 overall, 10/10 food

I LOVE this place and the owners are super sweet people! I’ve been to Ethiopia before and this is the closest I have found to the food I had in Addis Ababa. The interior reminded me of Addis Ababa also. I had the Yebeg tibs and Azifa. I don’t know why other people say it’s cold and not fresh. My food is always fresh and hot when I get it from here. 🤷🏼‍♀️

★★☆☆☆

Pretty disappointed. I called and ordered a vegetarian platter for 2 off their lunch menu (as opposed to two individual ones, since it comes back a bit cheaper). When I got there, they had prepared two individual platters instead which was not that big of a deal, except there were much more expensive than what was listed online (as individuals); I ended up paying over $45 total. On top of this, the portions were not only small (attached is a picture of one of the platters) but the food really wasn’t great – it was cold and oily, almost like it was the leftovers from the bottom of the pot from the night before. I had previously tried them when they had a location on Laurier and had loved it, so this was definitely unexpected.

Went as a group of 5 and shared the platter d’afrique; we really liked how it could scale for more people as necessary! was a wonderful social experience and the food was delicious.
