Absolutely amazing experience at Cadena Restaurant & Tapas Bar! The food was rich, comforting, and full of flavour. Everything truly felt like a quality home-cooked meal made with care. The service was just as impressive. Friendly, genuine, and attentive without ever feeling forced.

Can’t recommend Cadena’s enough. We will definitely be back! Special thanks to Sandra, the owner, who truly makes this place special. It feels less like dining out and more like being welcomed into someone’s home!

The food and service at this restaurant were fantastic! Andrés was attentive and friendly, and he even called us to confirm our reservation, which was a great touch. Not all restaurants are as attentive to the little details, so I appreciated that. We ordered the meatballs and traditional paella, which were both wonderful. Be sure to come with an empty stomach, though! I also had the red sangria, which was amazing as well. Highly recommend this gem!

Started with mushroom croquettes, and then shared the Canejo (pan fried rabbit) and Rabo de Toro (braised oxtail), followed by the Dulce de Leche Cheesecake for dessert. For the most part, everything tasted good with the exception that the rabbit was overdone and full of many small bones. It was worth it to try something different but overpriced for the portion sizes and atmosphere.

A very friendly and welcoming atmosphere! It reserved for a table of two and ordered calamari and 1/2 dozen oysters for starters. For the main we ordered the small traditional paella. It was perfect for two people and we finished super full! The service was super nice and the overall atmosphere was very nice. We went on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy. We made a reservation before hand so we had a table for sure! Definitely recommend to try it out for the paella!

Expensive restaurant with nice ambiance, great service but average food

Went to Cadena for the first time because of the positive reviews on Google. However we were a little bit underwhelmed with the quality of food and the variety offered, particularly for the prices.

The tapas were freshly prepared, flavourful and nicely presented. The seafood paella took a really long time to come out, and when it was out, the rice was lukewarm and seafood dry, not much meat in the snow crabs, no clams, just some mussels and 2 small lobster tails. The rice was a bit mushy to my taste but that’s a personal preference only.

The staff was very friendly and professional! Upon knowing that it was a birthday celebration, the server offered a free shooter to the birthday boy, a very nice gesture.

We also really like the decor, warm and lively, with accents of regions of Spain, it was quite charming.

All that being said, the final bill really surprised me: we ordered 4 tapas to share, 2 soft drinks, 1 pitcher of sangria and 1 large seafood paella, and 2 desserts and a tea, with taxes and gratuities, the bill was $490. This price tag rivals extravagant meals that we had in NYC.

Would cautiously recommend this restaurant for special occasions only, and be prepared for a large bill.
