Amazing take out experience – brings delight to my parents every time. Big portions, easy takeout, lots of parking Only request they have is for a vegetarian moussaka – one day! 😊

This location is take out only but I rated the service highly because we greeted at the door (by multiple people actually) and immediately brought our food.

The food was excellent. I would choose it above the other two options in the immediate area.

We had Santorini shrimp, chicken souvlaki, gyro wrap platter, halloumi salad and baklava. They were all excellent. The shrimp were especially good: 9 jumbo shrimp with a delicious spice and charcoal flavour.

The veggies, rice, and potatoes that came with the platters were excellent. I personally did not like the dressing that came with the salad so I was glad it comes on the side.

If you’re looking for gluten free options, know that the souvlaki platters come with pita that is not packaged separately.

This Parea location is a take-out-only location attached to a full-service Chances R restaurant.
The attractive young man who took our order told us the restaurant was his family’s business. He provided excellent, cheerful, friendly service. I had a Greek salad ($15) and my son had a Hercules Bowl ($15). Both were large portions, and my salad had TONS of vegetables (tomatoes, olives, onions, peppers). The prices were already excellent but they also let us use a BOGO 50% off coupon that we had received in the mail.

We didn’t dine-in at Chances R, but that’s where we placed our Paréa orders. The Chances R space looked brand new and gorgeous.

I give Parea a rating of 5/5 stars.
I definitely would order from them again. I also like that it’s a family-run business.

Edit:
We went back for a 2nd visit and this time I tried the Apollo bowl ($15). It was packed with chicken, rice, and assorted veggies (including zucchini, mushrooms, roasted potato wedges, and I don’t remember what else). YUM! Each bowl came with a fresh, hot pita. The freshness of all the food was quite evident, and the quality was very high.

On this second visit, we met the handsome owner, who was really nice. He gifted us a baklava on the house. I don’t even like baklava, but this baklava was DELICIOUS. Buttery, flaky, and chewy on the bottom, sweet but not too sweet. And the serving size was huge. Nom nom.

Verdict:
I am beyond impressed with the food and the service at Parea. My son just moved to Ottawa and Parea is now our go-to place to eat whenever we visit him.

I would rate Parea 10 out of 5 stars if I could.
Highly recommended.

Waited 30 minutes for my order after it was supposed to be ready, no apology, no discount, just “sorry we are short staffed”. Order from Pilos. Stood waiting 10 minutes before anyone even tried to help me.
