Sushi Sama (Riverside South)

I’ve been hesitant to order sushi for takeout/delivery but I’m so glad I decided to take a chance on Sushi Sama! I ordered delivery for the 28 assorted tray (chefs choice) and I loved it all. It was a really great assortment. The food was all very fresh and well made.

It’s my first time ordering from this restaurant. Give the restaurant having a number of locations and some positive reviews, I went ahead with our first order.
Unfortunately we are very disappointed. We find the salmon sashimi as well as the salmon nigiri are plain; the rice is dried and portion too large. What made it worse is the a few pieces of sashimi are not completely cut.

Other sushi / rolls we had were pretty normal and nothing spectacular worth mentioning.

Typically sushi tray included shred (string) of daikon radish. Well, our tray was included a mix salad (see picture attached). To us, this is another indication of non-authentic sushi this restaurant is …

Well, we did give it a try and it is our last with this restaurant chain.

Sushi is absolutely delicious. So fresh and well made. Very accommodating of allergies as well. We’ve been twice now and we plan to make this our go to neighbourhood sushi spot.

Great sushi location, we got the holiday party tray, the tray looked pretty and tasted fresh. Our friends liked them so much!!!Definitely will go back, highly recommend!
