Chelochi Grill Ottawa

I ordered the Kabab Koubideh and it was absolutely delicious! The meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned — just like authentic Persian kabab should be. I also had Doogh, which was really refreshing and perfectly balanced. Overall, a great experience with true Iranian flavors. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The lamb shank is much smaller than it used to be, seeing old photos from other patrons. And it was $28.99. You be the judge of whether that’s a fair price… I got take out and got back to my hotel before realizing there were no utensils or napkins in the bag. Luckily I had an extra pair of chopsticks in my bag. Food tasted okay. Wouldn’t come back.

Decent Persian Fare

I placed a walk-in order for a “Vaziri Kabob combination”.

The meal came out of the kitchen with-in the 15 minutes as promised.

The food had the taste of pre-cooked, warmed up take out food – However it was still tasty, with good sized portions which suited my needs for a quick filling meal!

Visited Ottawa and decided to try Persian food for the first time. It was great! We ordered three dishes: the lamb shank, the Cornish hen, and the chicken kebab. All the meats were tender and flavourful. I loved the dill rice that was served with one of the dishes. When we were waiting for our food, they brought us 4 bowls of soup to try that were great. They didn’t serve us water but we asked and were given a couple of glasses. The seating area is small so don’t depend on getting a seat for dine-in if they’re busy but overall it was an excellent experience!

It’s been a while since we’ve gone out for dinner and enjoyed this much. Wow 🤩 We absolutely loved this place. Went in for dinner on Saturday with our two kids. They especially loved the soup/rice/kabob. The flavours were very on point, and the chicken/meat was juicy, cooked to perfection! The appetizers felt very authentic. Truly, the best Persian food we’ve tasted, so good! The ambience is cute/cozy and aesthetically appealing. The lady that served us was super sweet, felt like she was hosting us in her home, all smiles and kindness. The dessert was delicious, we had tea, cake & a saffron type rice pudding, yum! (Didn’t get to picture the mains, we dug right in, haha!)
